# Moochy > Moochy lets developers donate LLM tokens from their own API accounts to open-source projects, whole GitHub organisations and GitLab groups, or the maintainers themselves, with a monthly limit they choose; maintainers use those tokens from any MCP client or any tool with a provider-compatible base URL. Keys never leave the donor's machine and every request is end-to-end encrypted. Open-source client (Apache-2.0) ยท 100% free. These are the public Moochy docs as raw Markdown. To add a "Donate tokens" button to a repository, read the first link and follow it exactly; it needs no account, key, or token. The same pages as HTML are at https://moochy.dev/docs. ## Add a donate button - [Add a "Donate tokens" button](https://moochy.dev/docs/donate-button.md): Exact recipe for people and AI agents: find the project from the git remote, check it, pick the snippet (Markdown, HTML, reStructuredText), put it in the README; organisation and person buttons for profile READMEs; live showcase charts (chart.svg, card, moochy button --chart); full button.svg and chart.svg reference - [For AI agents](https://moochy.dev/docs/for-ai-agents.md): How agents read these docs, rules for agents, and a snippet for a project's AGENTS.md or CLAUDE.md ## Agent skills - [Moochy skills for coding agents](https://moochy.dev/docs/skills.md): Install-ready skills for Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Gemini CLI, Cursor and 15 more agents: add the donate button, use donated tokens, donate - [Skill: moochy-donate-button](https://moochy.dev/docs/skills/moochy-donate-button.md): Add, fix, or check the Moochy "Donate tokens" button or the live showcase chart (tokens donated and used) in a repository README, in a GitHub organisation's or GitLab group's profile README, or in a maintainer's personal profile README, so people can donate LLM tokens to the project, the organisation, or the person. Use when the user asks for a Moochy button, badge, or chart, to accept token donations through moochy.dev, or to repair an existing Moochy button. - [Skill: moochy-use-donated-tokens](https://moochy.dev/docs/skills/moochy-use-donated-tokens.md): Use LLM tokens donated to an open-source project through Moochy from this coding agent - set up the MCP server or base URL with moochy connect, run inside the moochy run sandbox, and delegate tasks with the moochy_delegate tool. Use when the user mentions Moochy, donated tokens, moochy run, moochy_delegate, or wants this project's donations as the model. - [Skill: moochy-donate](https://moochy.dev/docs/skills/moochy-donate.md): Help a user donate LLM tokens to an open-source project, a whole GitHub organisation or GitLab group, or a maintainer (sponsor a person) with Moochy - install the app, add their provider key locally, set limits, donate, pause or stop, and see what their key was used for. Use when the user wants to donate tokens, support a project with their Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, xAI key or local GPU, or manage their Moochy donations. ## Agents in cloud boxes - [Use Moochy in cloud boxes](https://moochy.dev/docs/boxes.md): Set up Moochy inside boat.dev, E2B, Daytona, Modal, Morph, Fly Machines, or Codespaces (enrollment token, one box = one identity, sandboxing), and donate from cloud machines or rented GPUs ## Use donated tokens - [Use donated tokens in your project](https://moochy.dev/docs/maintainer.md): Register a project, accept donors, add members, connect your tools - [Donations for your organisation](https://moochy.dev/docs/organisations.md): Claim a GitHub organisation or GitLab group, choose the projects its donations fund, share caps, accept donors once for all of them, what happens when the owner changes - [Run your agent safely with moochy run](https://moochy.dev/docs/run.md): Run your coding agent in the moochy run sandbox: what it can reach, Linux and macOS notes - [Connect your tools](https://moochy.dev/docs/integrations.md): Exact settings for coding tools, MCP clients, agent frameworks, and SDKs ## Donate tokens - [Donate tokens](https://moochy.dev/docs/donor.md): Install the app, add a provider key, set your limits, donate, pause, stop donating - [Sponsor a person](https://moochy.dev/docs/sponsor-a-person.md): Sponsor a maintainer's own requests on the public repos they maintain: moochy claim --person, person add|remove|list, moochy donate --person, accept once - [Donate to an organisation](https://moochy.dev/docs/donate-to-an-organisation.md): Donate to a whole GitHub organisation or GitLab group: moochy donate --org, the organisation page, one limit across its projects, what each project used - [Donate from your own GPU](https://moochy.dev/docs/local-gpu.md): Donate from your own GPU: Ollama, LM Studio, vLLM, llama.cpp - [Run Moochy on a server or in CI](https://moochy.dev/docs/headless-node.md): An always-on donation from a server or container you control, and agents in CI ## The terminal app - [The dashboard in your terminal: moochy tui](https://moochy.dev/docs/tui.md): moochy tui: the dashboard in your terminal, its tabs and keys, the command palette and filter, themes, NO_COLOR and --ascii, demo and snapshot mode ## Security and trust - [How Moochy protects you](https://moochy.dev/docs/threat-model.md): The attacks Moochy is designed against, and where each defence lives - [FAQ](https://moochy.dev/docs/faq.md): Open source and free, privacy, how your key and code are protected ## Optional - [All pages in one file](https://moochy.dev/llms-full.txt): every guide above, concatenated - [Protocol specification](https://github.com/moochy-dev/moochy-docs/blob/main/spec/protocol.md): wire encodings, keys, signatures, receipts (open-source client repository)
